How to make badam halwa?
Ingredients:
3 cups almonds, 4 table spoons ghee,milk cup, saffron 1/2 tbsp, 3 cups sugar , yellow food colour.
Soak almonds for 2 hours peel off the the skin before preparing this dish or boy boil them for 30 minutes incase of last minute preparation. Put the peeled almonds in a blender and add milk to it. It should be enough to cover them. Blend it into a coares paste. Avoid thin texture of paste due to excessof milk. Heat the pan& add 2 tbsp ghee to it.As ghee melts add badam mixture and give a quick stir. Add sugar keeping then adding it to the badam mixture. Constantly stir the mixture as it can stick & bottom. Add saffron & constantly stir as it boils from bottom. Add the food colour and additional tablespoon of ghee while it's boiling. Constant stilling is a must til ghee starts oozing out. Once halva separates out ghee its time to put it in a container & halva is ready to be served garnish it with grated almonds.
